I am a 4th year animal biology student at TRU with long-standing interest for marine life. Ever since I was young, I would spend days at the beach, looking through tide pools at the crabs, fish, and snails which sparked my curiosity for marine biology. I carried this interest into my academic career and further developed it through my co-op experiences in water quality assessment and as a fish farm technician. Although my hatchery role unfortunately did not involve direct, hands-on work with fish due to unforeseen issues with our equipment, it provided insight into fish farm operations, environmental monitoring, and behind the scenes processes. This project will be focus on my time working at the fish farm through multimedia storytelling.
